In my weaving, I often overlap native Pacific Northwest basketry plants with traditional European techniques, and vice versa. I tend toward the large, sculptural, and unruly, currently with a particular focus on continuous braiding. Juncus, Cattail and Western Red Cedar lend themselves to this beautifully.

I love, live, earn, learn and create in the Columbia Slough watershed, which rests on traditional village sites of the Multnomah, Clackamas, and Cascade Chinook, and the Tualatin Kalapuya - people who've been in Oregon for more than 10,000 years.

This site, as with everything, is a work in progress.
